We spent this last weekend camping in the desert near Blythe, Arizona with a bunch of our friends. We did our best to keep Leif away from the Jumping Teddy Bear Cholla cacti - a really nasty species of cacti - and to not eat "that many" rocks. All in all, we had a great time and our first camping trip with Leif went well. We were smart to only spend one night and we packed way too much stuff for Leif (we trucked in every single blanket we owned in fear that Leif would be cold at night). As you can see from the pictures, Leif really enjoyed himself...and loved tasting all the rocks and playing in the dirt.
For our next camping trip we plan on visiting a place less prickly and and more shady.
